St. Cloud Main Street Program, which began in September 1999, is a comprehensive revitalization program designed to encourage ongoing economic development in conjunction with historic preservation. St. Cloud is located just outside of the attractions area east of Kissimmee, home to Walt Disney World and many great attractions. Get outside the hustle and bustle of the theme parks and enjoy a day exploring more history, activities, and eco-tourism throughout St. Cloud. Breathtaking and untouched Florida Wildlife parks showcase the areas natural beauty. With a rich history, well preserved by the St. Cloud Main Street organization, you can visit the origins of Florida life before Walt Disney World. Historical Murals, part of the state wide Florida Mural Trail line the streets of St. Cloud Main Street as well as charming local boutiques and real, Southern,  Florida restaurants. Take the Historic Walking Tour of Downtown St. Cloud and visit 38 registered historic places spanning approximately 12 blocks. Enjoy bird watching, wildlife viewing, and nature trails at the many nature parks including the PegHorn Nature Park, Ralph V. Chisholm Regional Park, Runnymeade Conservation Area, and St. Cloud Lakefront Park. Watch a film in the 1917 historic St. Cloud Twin Theatre still running feature movies. Visit the St. Cloud Heritage Museum, Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall, or Reptile World Serpentarium.
