The beaches of North East Florida stretch up to the Florida-Georgia Line and include notable beaches such as Jacksonville Beach, St. Augustine, Amelia Island, and Fernandina Beach. The Jacksonville Area Beaches are known for great surfing with its choppy waves, strong currents, and sharp drop off points which make the the best waves in the area. Amelia Island allows horses to be ridden on the beach and provides a unique experience for equestrians, riding through the wooded trails and ending at the beach. The sunrise from the beaches in St. Augustine along with the many historical sites nearby attract many visitors. Fernandina and the Palm Coast Beaches are known for their top notch golfing and beautiful courses along the shore. Florida’s Great Birding Trail winds through many of the North East beaches where you may see Bald Eagles, Limpkins, Roseate Spoonbill, Whooping Crane, White Tailed Kite and so many more.
