Mote Marine Lab is a world-renowned marine science laboratory located in Sarasota, Florida. It was founded in 1955 by Dr. Eugenie Clark and has grown to become one of the top marine research facilities in the United States. Mote specializes in all aspects of oceanography including coral reef health, climate change, fisheries ecology, coastal resource management, marine mammal conservation and ocean engineering. The lab’s mission is to advance understanding of the world’s oceans through research, education, and outreach.
