The Miami Center for Architecture & Design (MCAD) is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and celebrating Miami’s historic buildings. Founded in 1998, MCAD seeks to educate the public about architecture and design through exhibitions, programs, lectures, and workshops. They work with local architects, designers, engineers, planners, educators, students, and other community organizations to foster an appreciation of our collective built heritage and promote a dynamic vision for the future of our cities. Their goal is to be a platform for creative dialogue between professionals, policymakers, and the public at large. Visitors can learn more about this vibrant city’s architectural heritage by viewing their rotating art exhibits or participating in one of their walking tours of the downtown area.
