The Enzian Theater is a hidden gem of Central Florida’s entertainment scene. Located north of Orlando in Maitland, it has been providing patrons with an intimate and unique movie-going experience since 1985. The theater offers a variety of independent films, classic favorites, documentaries, and special events including their popular Popcorn Flicks series which shows free outdoor screenings in the summer. The Enzian also features a full-service restaurant and bar called Eden Bar, as well as a separate concessions stand that serves beer, wine, popcorn, and more. The auditorium is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for maximum viewing pleasure, where patrons can enjoy dinner and drinks while watching their film. The Enzian is famously home to the Florida Film Festival, a ten-day celebration of films from around the world that takes place each April. The festival includes award ceremonies, film screenings, panel discussions, and other special events. Every year since 1996 the Florida Film Festival has hosted an audience of more than 12,000 film fans.
