In March 1994, the Brevard Zoo opened its gates to the public as a Small Zoo That Does Big Things. They have over 900 animals to observe as well as opportunities to get closer to many of the animals in exclusive animal encounters, touch pools, and inside the petting zoo. Zoo Keepers host scheduled chats with guests to learn more about and interact with some of the animals. Have little ones? Head to the Paws On area where children can play in the Indian River Play lagoon splash pad, touch hermit crabs, sea cucumbers and other small animals in the touch pool, play on the playscape, or enjoy the petting zoo. Looking for more of an adventure? Enjoy a guided kayak tour of the Nyami Nyami River as you float past giraffes, rhinos, lemurs and more in Expedition Africa, or the Treetop Trek to zip, crawl, and careen your way through an acre of lush Florida landscapes with a birds eye view of the zoo below.
Please contact Brevard Zoo directly for current hours and pricing. Check out our See & Do Page for other fun things to do in Florida and our Deals Page for offers and coupons for Florida attractions, restaurants, shops and more.
